On the boat at the center of the image during the storm is Jesus Christ and his apostles. Try to save before a storm. The boat is thirteen persons, the largest cluster is around Jesus. This image is quite different than most paintings by Rembrandt because you do not have such a clear light, and color is everywhere clear and warm. Cannot be found in the dark lam so characteristic of this painter from over the Rhine. This is probably work throughout this amazing work of Dutch artist, who as Michelangelo Merissa ad Caravaggio chiaroscuro likes clear.
